LE MANI DELLA MODA
Gruppo Florence presents the third episode of Le Mani della Moda, the project that pays tribute to the authentic heart of Italian fashion and its Master craftspeople, produced in collaboration with LISAA – L’Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués in Paris. The docufilm arrives in preview during Milano Fashion Week, together with a new photographic reportage that accompanies the story with a series of portraits of the people behind Italian manufacturing.
THE DOCUFILM
The third episode of Le Mani della Moda is produced in collaboration with LISAA – L’Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués in Paris. The story travels through Marche, Emilia, Veneto and Tuscany, discovering five laboratories in the supply chain and the people who preserve and renew Italian savoir-faire: Parmamoda, Ricami NBM, Leonello Spagnol, Novarese and Giuntini.
Hands that cut, embroider, shape, assemble and finish become the thread running through an ancient and precious knowledge that is still alive today.
The film will be presented at Anteo Palazzo del Cinema in Milan, with free screenings by reservation from September 23 to 27, as part of the official cultural events calendar of Milano Fashion Week Women’s SS27.
THE PHOTOGRAPHIC PROJECT
Produced in 2026 in collaboration with LISAA Paris students, the project “The Poetry of Gesture” enriches the docufilm with a reportage that conveys authenticity and immediacy: the photographs are taken directly at the working stations of the laboratories, where tools, materials and details of the production process convey the dynamism of a manufacturing world in which tradition and innovation coexist naturally.
Each photograph is built around the dialogue between face and gesture: hands become the symbol of the knowledge, experience and dedication passed down from generation to generation.
